The CHKR Observership is a week-long program that envelopes and involves the clinical, education, and research aspects of hip and knee surgery here at Columbia University. Qualified observers will participate and observe various procedures from the operating room as well as have the opportunity to interact with patients in the hospital and the clinic. Participants will also have the opportunity to attend didactic conference sessions with our surgical residents and have frequent interactions with our attending physicians. Observers will also get to shadow and learn about CHKR Research concerning our basic and clinical research initiatives. The overall goal of the CHKR Observership Program is to have the observe experience, first-hand the physicians, residents, students, and researchers daily interactions and duties here at Columbia.
